Abstract
A hydrogen production system includes a reactor having an inlet and an outlet and a catalyst disposed in the reactor. The reactor is preferably configured to receive a continuous flow of aqueous metal hydride
Claims40
A hydrogen production system comprising:
- a reactor having an inlet and an outlet;
- and
- a catalyst disposed in the reactor;
- wherein said reactor is configured to process a continuous flow of aqueous metal hydride.
A fuel cell apparatus comprising:
- an anode;
- a cathode;
- an electrolyte disposed between said anode and cathode;
- and
- a hydrogen reactor providing hydrogen to said anode, said reactor configured to receive a continuous flow of an aqueous metal hydride.
A method of producing hydrogen gas comprising continuously flowing aqueous metal hydride through a reactor in the presence of a catalyst.
A hydrogen generation system comprising:
- means for housing a chemical reaction;
- means for increasing the rate of said chemical reaction;
- and
- means for supplying a continuous flow of aqueous metal hydride to the means for housing a chemical reaction.
A method of producing hydrogen gas comprising structurally distributing a catalyst within a reactor configured to process a flow of aqueous metal hydride.
A hydrogen gas generating apparatus comprising:
- a reactor having an inlet and an outlet;
- a catalyst in a distribution structure disposed in the reactor;
- a hydrophobic membrane lining the perimeter of the reactor but not covering the inlet or the outlet;
- and
- a hydrophilic membrane covering the outlet of the reactor;
- wherein said reactor is configured to receive a continuous flow of aqueous metal hydride.
