Powder-resistant flexible zipper for reclosable packaging

A package comprising:

• a web material defining a receptacle having an interior volume and a mouth at an upper end thereof;
• and
• a flexible zipper attached to said web material at said mouth and comprising male and female profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween, said space extending in a longitudinal direction, wherein said male profile comprises a first base and first and second profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base, part of said space lying between said first and second profiled members, said first base comprising a first plurality of apertures in communication with said space and said interior volume.

A flexible zipper comprising first and second zipper profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state, wherein said first profile comprises a first base and first and second profiled locking members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base, said first base comprising a first plurality of apertures formed in a region between said first and second profiled locking members, and said second profile comprises a second base and third and fourth profiled locking members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said second base, said second base comprising a second plurality of apertures formed in a region between said third and fourth profiled locking members, wherein in said closed zipper state said first and third profiled locking members are in latching relationship and said second and fourth profiled locking members are in latching relationship.

A package comprising:

• a web material defining a receptacle having an interior volume and a mouth at an upper end thereof;
• and
• a flexible zipper comprising first and second zipper profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state, wherein said first profile comprises a first base and first and second profiled locking members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base, said first base comprising a first plurality of apertures formed in a region between said first and second profiled locking members and communicating in an open state with said interior volume, and said second profile comprises a second base and third and fourth profiled locking members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said second base, said second base comprising a second plurality of apertures formed in a region between said third and fourth profiled locking members and communicating in an open state with said interior volume, wherein in said closed zipper state said first and third profiled locking members are in latching relationship and said second and fourth profiled locking members are in latching relationship.

A flexible zipper comprising male and female profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween, said space extending in a longitudinal direction, wherein said male profile comprises a first base comprising a plurality of apertures in direct communication with said space, and first and second profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base on opposite sides of said apertures, and said female profile comprises a second base and third through fifth profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said second base, said fourth profiled member being between said third and fifth profiled members and projecting between said first and second profiled members when said male and female profiles are interlocked.

A flexible zipper comprising male and female profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween, said space extending in a longitudinal direction, wherein said male profile comprises a first base and first and second profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base, part of said space lying between said first and second profiled members, and said female profile comprises a second base comprising a plurality of apertures in direct communication with said space, third and fourth profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said second base on opposite sides of said apertures, and a plurality of spaced posts arranged in alternating sequence with said apertures and projecting between said first and second profiled members when said male and female profiles are interlocked.

A package comprising:

• a flexible zipper attached to said web material at said mouth and comprising male and female profiles that interlock in a closed zipper state to define a space therebetween, said space extending in a longitudinal direction, wherein said male profile comprises a first base and first and second profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said first base, part of said space lying between said first and second profiled members, and said female profile comprises a second base comprising a plurality of apertures in communication with said space and said interior volume, third and fourth profiled members connected to and projecting generally transverse relative to said second base on opposite sides of said apertures, and a plurality of spaced posts arranged in alternating sequence with said apertures and projecting between said first and second profiled members when said male and female profiles are interlocked.
