Abstract
The invention concerns a device for opening blown plastic bottles that are hermetically closed by a dome (5) and mounted in holding means in a duct (7) by cutting the dome (5) using a cutting knife (32) mounted in a cutting head (1) that can move relative to said dome along the periphery thereof. In order to enable a precise cut under aseptic conditions, said opening device is characterized in that the holding means (15, 18) have at least two centering fingers (18) which can move radially relative to the duct (7) for the purpose of engaging with the part of the dome (5) that is to be cut off, said centering fingers being mounted closer to the end on side of the bottle (17) than to the cutting knife (32).
Claims8
A device for opening blown plastic bottles which have been air-tightly closed by a dome (5) which is fused shut, and which in particular are provided with a closure screwthread (13) and which are disposed in holding means (15, 18) on a passage (7), by cutting off the dome (5) with a cutting blade (32) which is mounted in a cutting head (1) and which is movable relative to the dome (5) along the periphery thereof, characterized in that the holding means (15, 18) for engagement with the portion of the dome (5), which is to be cut off, have at least two centering fingers (18) which are movable radially relative to the passage (7) and which are arranged closer to the bottle end (17) of the cutting head (1) than the cutting blade (32).
