Abstract
A display for an article of sports memorabilia, where the display is configured to resemble a seat from a sports venue at a substantially reduced scale. The display includes a generally horizontal shelf member for receiving an article of sports memorabilia, and support means for supporting the shelf member at a raised elevation. The display is particularly useful for displaying various items of sports memorabilia and other similar collectibles, including balls, pucks, and sports equipment.
Claims36
A display for an article of sports memorabilia, comprising:
- a generally horizontal shelf member for receiving an article of sports memorabilia;
- and
- support means for supporting the shelf member at a raised elevation, the display being configured to resemble a seat from a sports venue at a substantially reduced scale.
A method for displaying an article of sports memorabilia, comprising:
- providing a display device having generally horizontal shelf member for receiving an article of sports memorabilia and support means for supporting the shelf member at a raised elevation above floor level, the display being configured to resemble a seat from a sports venue at a substantially reduced scale;
- and
- supporting an article of sports memorabilia on the top surface of the generally horizontal shelf member.
A method for making a display for an article of sports memorabilia, comprising:
- selecting a seat from a sports venue;
- and
- producing a miniature replica of the seat, the replica including a generally horizontal shelf member for receiving an article of sports memorabilia, and support means for supporting the shelf member at a raised elevation.
A method for manufacturing a display for an article of sports memorabilia, comprising:
- producing at least one shelf member configured to resemble the seat portion of a seat from a sports venue;
- producing a plurality of vertical support members having a plurality of different configurations, where each of the different configurations resembles a support frame of a seat from a sports venue;
- and
- providing means for securing a pair of vertical support members to a shelf member to produce a display resembling a seat from a selected sports venue.
A method of manufacturing at least one display for an article of sports memorabilia, comprising:
- producing a plurality of shelf members configured to resemble the seat portion of a seat from a sports venue;
- producing a plurality of vertical support members configured to resemble a support frame of a seat from a sports venue;
- producing a plurality of back support members having a plurality of different lengths and configured to resemble the seat back portion of a seat from a sports venue;
- providing means for securing at least one pair of vertical support members to opposite sides of at least one shelf member to produce a row of one or more displays, the row of one or more displays resembling a row of one or more seats from a sports venue;
- providing means for securing at least one back support member to the at least one display, the length of the back support member selected based upon the number of displays in the row.
A kit for a sports memorabilia display, comprising:
- a shelf member configured to resemble the seat portion of a seat from a sports venue;
- a pair of vertical support members, each configured to resemble a support frame of a seat from a sports venue;
- means for securing the vertical support members to the shelf member to produce a display resembling a seat from a sports venue at a substantially reduced scale.
