Abstract
A method for analyzing service in a mobile communication network includes estimating probabilities of handover of a mobile unit from each of a plurality of cells in the network to each other cell in the plurality. Based on the probabilities of handover, a respective steady-state probability is found that the mobile unit is served by each of one or more of the cells.
Claims36
A method for analyzing service in a mobile communication network, comprising:
- estimating probabilities of handover of a mobile unit from each of a plurality of cells in the network to each other cell in the plurality;
- and
- based on the probabilities of handover, finding a respective steady-state probability that the mobile unit is served by each of one or more of the cells.
Apparatus for analyzing service in a mobile communication network, comprising a computer, which is adapted to estimate probabilities of handover of a mobile unit from each of a plurality of cells in the network to each other cell in the plurality, and to find, based on the probabilities of handover, a respective steady-state probability that the mobile unit is served by each of one or more of the cells.
A computer software product for analyzing service in a mobile communication network, the product comprising a computer-readable medium in which program instructions are stored, which instructions, when read by a computer, cause the computer to estimate probabilities of handover of a mobile unit from each of a plurality of cells in the network to each other cell in the plurality, and to find, based on the probabilities of handover, a respective steady-state probability that the mobile unit is served by each of one or more of the cells.
