A proprietary position display method comprising:

• displaying an ask-side entry, in a multi-column format, for a specific security that is offered for sale by a market participant on a securities market, wherein the ask-side entry includes a market participant identifier, a lot size, a reserve size, and an ask price;
• and
• displaying a bid-side entry, in a multi-column format, for the specific security that is sought for purchase by a market participant on a securities market, wherein the bid-side entry includes a market participant identifier, a lot size, a reserve size, and a bid price, wherein the bid-side entry is essentially a mirror image of the ask-side entry.

A computer program product residing on a computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause that processor to:

• display an ask-side entry, in a multi-column format, for a specific security that is offered for sale by a market participant on a securities market, wherein the ask-side entry includes a market participant identifier, a lot size, a reserve size, and an ask price;
• and
• display a bid-side entry, in a multi-column format, for the specific security that is sought for purchase by a market participant on a securities market, wherein the bid-side entry includes a market participant identifier, a lot size, a reserve size, and a bid price, wherein the bid-side entry is essentially a mirror image of the ask-side entry.
