Abstract

Device for scanning radiation-based surface state recognition, especially of roads. The invention relates to a device for scanning radiation-based recognition of the surface state of earth surface regions with receivers for receiving at least one state information scanning radiation component reflected from the scanned earth surface region and with evaluation resources for determining the surface state of the scanned earth surface region by evaluation of the scanning radiation received. In accordance with the invention, the scanning radiation is formed by the useful signal radiation of a foreign system and/or is generated by one or more satellites. Use for example for recognition of the surface state with respect to paving type and paving condition of thoroughfares.
