Abstract
A novel human tumor suppressor gene coding for a tumor suppressor protein and whose expression is inhibited by human growth hormone. The DNA composing the gene, and the protein coded by the gene are also provided. The DNA has a nucleotide sequence set forth under SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:2 in the Sequence Listing.

The isolated DNA molecule comprising the nucleotide sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1 or SEQ ID NO:2 in the Sequence Listing.
A protein having an amino acid sequence set forth under SEQ ID NO:3 or SEQ ID NO:4 in the Sequence Listing.
A protein whose expression is inhibited by a growth factor and which has an amino acid sequence set forth under SEQ ID NO:3 or SEQ ID NO:4 in the Sequence Listing or an amino acid sequence with deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids relative to either of said amino acid sequences.
A tumor suppressor protein having an amino acid sequence set forth under SEQ ID NO:3 or SEQ ID NO:4 in the Sequence Listing or an amino acid sequence with deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids relative to either of said amino acid sequences.
A DNA molecule comprising a nucleotide sequence coding a protein having the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:3.
