Abstract
A vaccine and method to prevent or to retard the growth and replication of cancer cells that express a carbohydrate wherein the vaccine comprises: (a) a pharmaceutically effective amount of a carbohydrate antigen found on said cancer cells, or a mimetic thereof; and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The carbohydrate antigen can be Tn or sialyl-Tn.
Claims2
A vaccine for preventing or retarding growth and replication of cancer cells that express a carbohydrate antigen, said vaccine comprising:
- (a) a pharmaceutically effective amount of said carbohydrate antigen, or a mimetic of said carbohydrate antigen, wherein said carbohydrate antigen comprises Tn or sialyl Tn;
- and
- (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
