Abstract
Device for handling pipes or stands, comprising a transportation carriage (2) for transport of pipes or stands (33) between a pipe storage (1, 101) and a place for use. The carriage comprises picking columns (12, 13), each having a first picking arm (19) arranged to move substantially vertical. The arms (19) are capable of lifting at least one horizontal pipe or stand (33) from the pipe storage (1, 101). The picking columns are also equipped with a respective second picking arm (18), capable of motion substantially vertically on the opposite side of the picking column (12, 13), to hold the pipe or stand (33) between the first and second picking arms (18, 19). Also described are a storage device (1) and a pipe erecting device (201) to be used together with the transportation carriage.
Claims21
A device for handling pipes, comprising a transport carriage (2) for transporting pipes (33) between a pipe rack (1, 101) and a place of use, characterised in that the transport carriage (2) comprises picking devices (12, 13, 18, 19) that are designed to pick up pipes (33) lying substantially in the horizontal position at different levels in a pipe rack (1, 101).
A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the carriage (2) is equipped with a pipe litter (139) that comprises a generally V-shaped fork (141) and an actuator (140) connected to the fork (141), which actuator (140) is designed to move the fork (141) essentially in the vertical direction.
A device for handling pipes comprising a pipe storage device (1, 101) for cooperation with the transport carriage (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pipe storage device (1, 101) comprises at least two supporting blocks (3, 4) mainly for horizontal support of a plurality of pipes (33).
A device for handling pipes, comprising a pipe erecting device (201) for cooperation with the transport carriage (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pipe erecting device (201) is designed to handle piping goods (33) between an approximately horizontal position on the drilling rig and an approximately vertical position in a derrick (211) and vice versa, which pipe erecting device (201) includes an elongated boom (202) with at least one associated grappler claw (204) for gripping the piping goods (33), where the boom (202) is provided with supporting guide means (207, 207′) at each end, which run along guides (208, 208′) on the drilling rig and in the derrick (211) respectively, and the boom (202) may be rim between an approximately horizontal position on the drilling rig and an approximately vertical position in the derrick (211) and vice versa, and that each grappler claw (204) is manoeuverably arranged on a respective arm (205) attached to the boom (202), where each arm (205) when in action is capable of picking up a horizontally positioned pipe (33), run the boom (202) while carrying the pipe (33) up to a vertical stand-by position, and at an appropriate time activate each arm (205) to bring the pipe (33) from the vertical stand-by position in or by the derrick (211) in towards the drill axis (C) for coupling to a piping string (217), and vice versa.
A device for handling pipes, comprising two pipe erecting devices (201′, 201″) for co-operation with the transport carriage (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that each of the pipe erecting devices (201′, 201″) is designed to handle piping goods (33) between an approximately horizontal position on the drilling rig and an approximately vertical position in a derrick and vice versa, which pipe erecting devices (201′, 201″) each include an elongated boom with at least one associated grappler claw (204′, 204″) for gripping the piping goods (33), where each end portion of the boom is provided with supporting guide means that run along guides (208″, 208′″) on the drilling rig and the derrick respectively, and the boom may be run between an approximately horizontal position on the drilling rig and an approximately vertical position in the derrick and vice versa.
