Abstract
An apparatus for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an arm nestably mounted in an aperture in the flat panel monitor. The arm is extendable between a nested position and an extended position. The arm is also adapted to pivot in the extended position.

An apparatus for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor comprising:
- an arm nestably mounted in an aperture in said flat panel monitor, said arm extendable between a nested position and an extended position, said arm adapted to pivot in said extended position.
An apparatus for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor comprising:
- a flat panel monitor display mounted in a case, said case having an aperture;
- an arm nestably mounted in said aperture, said arm extendable between a nested position and an extended position, said arm adapted to pivot in said extended position.
An apparatus according to claim 13 wherein said distal end of said arm comprises a lip, said lip level with a top surface of said monitor when said arm is in nested position.
An apparatus for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor comprising:
- a flat panel monitor display mounted in a case, said case having an aperture;
- an arm nestably mounted in said aperture, said arm extendable between a nested position and an extended position, said arm adapted to pivot in said extended position, a distal end of said arm comprises a coupling for mounting the accessory thereto.
A system for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor comprising:
- a flat panel monitor display mounted in a case, said case having an aperture;
- an arm nestably mounted in said aperture, said arm extendable between a nested position and an extended position, said arm adapted to pivot in said extended position, a distal end of said arm comprises a coupling for mounting the accessory thereto;
- and
- a camera having a base optimized to mate with said arm when said arm is in said extended position.
A method for mounting an accessory to a flat panel monitor comprising:
- providing flat panel display mounted in a case, said case having an aperture;
- providing an arm nestably mounted in said aperture, said arm extendable between a nested position and an extended position, said arm adapted to pivot in said extended position, a distal end of said arm comprises a coupling for mounting the accessory thereto;
- providing a camera having a base optimized to mate with said arm when said arm is in said extended position;
- and
- coupling said camera base with said extended arm.
