Abstract
A method for selecting a resource for processing a job in a pre-press workflow system. The method includes obtaining a processing parameter for processing the job; checking a rule related to the processing parameter; and automatically selecting the resource for processing the job. The automatic selection is based on the rule.

A method for selecting a resource for processing a job in a pre-press workflow system, the method comprising:
- obtaining a processing parameter for processing said job;
- checking a rule related to said processing parameter;
- and
- automatically selecting said resource for processing said job, wherein said selection is based on said rule.
A pre-press workflow system for selecting a resource for processing a job, the system comprising:
- an input device for obtaining a processing parameter for processing said job;
- a checking device for checking a rule related to said processing parameter;
- and
- a selection device for automatically selecting said resource for processing said job, wherein said selection is based on said rule.

- first program instructions for obtaining a processing parameter for processing said job;
- second program instructions for checking a rule related to said processing parameter;

- third program instructions for automatically selecting said resource for processing said job, wherein said selection is based on said rule.
