Abstract
A novel proteinase inhibitor and materials and methods for making it are disclosed. The proteinase inhibitor comprises residues 3-425 of SEQ ID NO:2. The proteinase inhibitor may be used as components of cell culture media, in protein purification, and in certain therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
Claims20
An isolated polypeptide comprising residues 3-425 of SEQ ID NO:2.
An expression vector comprising the following operably linked elements:
- (a) a transcription promoter;
- (b) a DNA segment encoding a polypeptide comprising residues 3-425 of SEQ ID NO:2;
- and
- (c) a transcription terminator.
1 more element
The expression vector of claim 14 wherein the polypeptide is from 423 to 448 amino acid residues in length.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
