Conventional embodiments of wiring harness connectors also have, in addition to a locking slider (13), a locking prong that arepositioned in U-shaped fashion over the connector housing (2) of a wiring harness connector, and both locking elements assume both an open and a closed position. In order to allow such wiring harness connectors to be manufactured more economically, the present invention provides for the function of the locking prong to be integrated into the cover (3) of the wiring harness connection that is placed on the connector housing (2), in such a way as to combine the cover (3) and the further locking unit that heretofore had been implemented by the locking prong. It is therefore proposed, according to the present invention, that the cover (3) and the second locking system be configured as an integral part. Provision is also made for positioning cable outlets (11) on both end faces (10, 10′) of the connector (1).
