A piezoelectric gas lighter by which gas is ignited by means of a spark generated by a piezoelectric device may have ignition trouble due to excessively high gas pressure. Therefore, piezoelectric gas lighters require some apparatus to screen off the excessively high gas pressure. The present invention provides a nozzle assembly composed of a nozzle and a nozzle cap. In a piezoelectric gas lighter incorporating a nozzle assembly and a lighter body having a gas tank, a gas ejection lever and a piezoelectric device, the nozzle has one or more auxiliary ejection holes on the side thereof as well as a main gas ejection path so that the fuel gas flows through two paths, i.e., the main gas ejection path and the auxiliary ejection hole(s). The nozzle assembly of the present invention has a gap between the nozzle and the nozzle cap, so that a small amount of fuel gas flows through the gap to be easily ignited by a spark. The piezoelectric gas lighter having this type of nozzle assembly has excellent ignition efficiency and a simple construction, which makes it possible to be produced at low cost. In addition, the nozzle cap may be coupled with the nozzle by an automated machine. Accordingly, a piezoelectric gas lighter having reliable ignition can be manufactured at a much lower cost.
A piezoelectric gas lighter wherein the piezoelectricity is generated by a piezoelectric device in response to the movement of a switch button so that a spark may be emitted from a piezoelectric tip to ignite fuel gas, the piezoelectric gas lighter comprising:
