Abstract
For implementing an anthropomorphic visual telepresence system with high resolution and low loop latency a sequential colour video loop is provided. A sequential colour camera sequentially captures colour images, each captured image consisting of a portion of a single colour component, and provides information as separate colour information relating to portions of the sequentially sensed colour images. The information is transmitted as separate colour information. A sequential colour display receives the transmitted information and displays sequentially each colour image within the received information. Synchronization means synchronize the sequence and colour of corresponding portions of images comprising a single colour in said display with the portions of the images sensed by said camera.
Claims19
A sequential, colour, visual, telepresence system comprising:
- a) a sequential colour camera for sequentially capturing colour component images, each captured image consisting of a portion of a single colour component, the portion of the single colour component comprising more than one pixel, and for sequentially providing information relating to each captured image;
- b) transmission means for transmitting a signal including the information as sequential information relating to each captured image;
- c) a sequential colour display for receiving the transmitted signal and for displaying sequentially each portion of the colour component images within the received information;
- and,
- d) synchronization means for sequence alignment of the single colours of the portions of the colour component images in said display with the colours of the captured images.
A sequential colour visual telepresence system having high image resolution and low loop latency, the telepresence system comprising:
- a) a sequential colour camera for sequentially capturing colour component images, each captured image consisting of a single colour component, and for providing information as separate information relating to the sequentially sensed colour component images in sequence;
- b) transmission means for transmitting a signal including the information in sequence;
- c) a sequential colour display for receiving the transmitted signal and for displaying sequentially each colour component image within the received information;
- and,
- d) synchronization means for sequence alignment of the colours of the colour component images in said display with the colours of the colour component images sensed by said camera.
