Tea bag package

A tea bag package including a filter container (7) for a product such as tee, comprising an envelope (1) to be opened, said envelope (1) enclosing the filter container (7) and consisting of a sheet fold (1) whose overlapping sheet portions (2) are releasably connected to each other to hold the envelope (1) in a closed condition, and a pull element (11) which is associated with the filter container (7) and can be pulled through an opening (4) at the back (3) of the sheet fold (1), characterised in that

• the pull element (11) is a further sheet fold (11) arranged in the envelope (1), whose back portion constitutes a grip member (13) which can be grasped in the opening (4), wherein the pull element (11) closes the opening (4) in a closed condition of the envelope (1), and
• the filter container (7) consists of two substantially similar rectangular flat bags (71) connected to each other by a common edge (72), wherein said common edge (72) is placed in the vicinity of the grip member (13) in a closed condition of the envelope (1), while end edges (73) of the bags (71) extending in parallel thereto are attached to the sheet portions (12) of the pull element fold (11), namely at a certain distance from the free end edges (15) of the pull element fold (11).
