Abstract
A hook spinning fishing bait comprising a pliable planar material, artificial or fresh, of an inverted tear-drop design having a vertical cut centered in the top portion of the inverted tear-drop design and one half the length of the inverted tear-drop design with two small holes one above the other in the bottom portion of the inverted tear-drop design for use as bait with means for attaching directly to a fish hook forming a propeller like shape that spins the fish hook with the bait material when pulled through the water on a fishing line.
Claims4
A hook spinning fishing bait comprising:
- A pliable tear drop shaped planar material having a wide top portion, a narrow, pointed bottom portion, a front flat side, a back flat side, a vertical cut extending from the top of said tear drop shaped planar material along the centerline of the planar material adjacent to and extending through said planar material from front to back stopping at a point one half the vertical length of said planar material in the mid portion of said tear-drop shaped planar material and a small hole adjacent to and extending through said planar material from the front side to the back side slightly right of the bottom of said vertical cut, and a second hole adjacent to and extending through said planar material from front side to the back side centered in the bottom portion of said tear-drop shaped planar material.
A hook spinning fishing bait comprising:
- A pliable planar material of an inverted tear-drop design containing means for attaching to a fish hook forming a propeller like shape on said fish hook causing said fish hook to spin when pulled through the water on a fisherman's fishing line.
The hook spinning fishing bait of claim, 2 wherein said means for attaching to a fish hook forming a propeller like shape is a vertical cut centered and extending midway down said planar material forming two top quarter portions of said planar material and two small holes one above the other, a top hole slightly right of the bottom of said vertical cut, a bottom hole centered at the tip or point of said planar material wherein the eye of said fish hook passes through said top hole of said planar material from front to back extending downward through said top hole, the shank of said hook extending down the back of said planar material passing through said bottom hole from back to front said eye of hook positioned slightly below the tip of said planar material leaving the bend and barbed tip of said fish hook facing forward away from said planar material leaving the top right quarter portion of said planar material pushed backward away from the top portion of said fish hooks shank and allowing the top left quarter portion of said planar material to bend forward and attach to said barbed tip of said hook by pulling the top portion of said left quarter portion up into said barbed tip of said fish hook.
A hook spinning fishing bait comprising:
- (a) a pliable planar material of an inverted tear-drop design made from artificial or fresh material
- (b) a pliable planar material of an inverted tear-drop design having means for attaching to a fish hook
- whereby the attachment of said planar material to said fish hook forms a propeller type shape causing said planar material to spin said hook from the pressure of the water against said propeller type shape when pulled through said water on a fishing line.
