Abstract
A method of manufacturing a winding of a rotary electric machine includes steps of pressing a portion of a conductor segment in a predetermined direction to reduce its dimension in the direction, inserting the conductor segment into a slot of a stator core, bending the conductor segments and joining ends of the conductor segments. In the pressing step, the conductor segment is pressed with a punch in a condition that it is held in a die that has curved inside corner portions to restrict deformation of corners of the pressed portion.
Claims21
A method of manufacturing a winding of a rotary electric machine, comprising:
- pressing a portion of an electric conductor, which has substantially a rectangular-shaped cross-section, with a punch in a predetermined direction in a condition that the electric conductor is held on a die, thereby reducing a dimension of the pressed portion in the predetermined direction,
- wherein the die has a predetermined shape for restricting deformation of a corner of the pressed portion of the electric conductor.
A method of manufacturing a winding for a rotary electric machine, comprising:
- forming a dent on an electric conductor, which has substantially a rectangular-shaped cross-section and a surface of which being coated with an insulating film, in a condition that the electric conductor is held in a die having a corner portion, thereby reducing a dimension of the electric conductor in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the electric conductor, and
- winding the electric conductors to cross each other at portions where the dents are formed,
- wherein the electric conductor has a radius R0 of curvature at its corner and the corner portion of the die has a radius R1 of curvature that is smaller than the radius R0 of the electric conductor,
- wherein when the dent is formed, the corner of the electric conductor is formed in the shape of the corner portion of the die.
A method of forming a winding, comprising:
- forming a dent on an electric conductor in a condition that a portion of the electric conductor is held in a die, thereby reducing a dimension of the portion in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the electric conductor, the electric conductor being coated with an insulating film and having substantially a rectangular-shaped cross-section,
- wherein the electric conductor has a radius R0 of curvature at its corner and the corner portion of the die has a radius R1 of curvature that is smaller than the radius R0 of the electric conductor,
- wherein when the dent is formed, the corner of the portion is formed in the shape of the corner portion of the die.
