Brush ware comprising at least one carrier and bristles made from a moldable plastic material disposed thereon, is produced by providing the carrier with through holes acting like spinning nozzles, to which bristle-shaped molding channels join and a plastic melt for the bristles is injected from at least one side of the carrier—the feed side of the melt—through the holes into the channels thereby forming the bristles, wherein the through holes have a minimal width along at least a portion of their length which is ≦3 mm and the ratio between this width and the flow path of the melt resulting from the depth of the through holes plus the length of the channels is ≦1:5. A device for carrying out the method and brush ware produced in accordance with the method is also described.
Method for producing brush ware comprising at least one carrier (6) and bristles (9) of a moldable plastic material disposed thereon, wherein the bristles are produced from the plastic melt by injection molding into bristle-shaped molding channels (71), characterized in that
Device for the production of brush ware with at least one carrier (6) and bristles (9) from a moldable plastic material disposed thereon, the device consisting essentially of an injection mold (77) with at least one feed channel (79) for a plastic melt, and defining an adjacent chamber (80) for the carrier (6), and with molding channels (7) extending from said chamber into which the melt is injected thereby forming the bristles, characterized in that a carrier (6) with through holes (7) acting like spinning nozzles (spinneret) are insertable into the chamber (80), the holes having a minimal width of ≦3 mm along at least a portion of their depth and joining the molding channels to connect the molding channels to the feed channel for injecting the plastic melt into the channels, wherein the ratio between the smallest width of the holes and the length resulting from the depth of the holes (7) plus the length of the molding channels (71) is ≦1:5.
Device for the production of brushes with at least one carrier (6) and bristles (9) of a moldable plastic material disposed thereon, consisting of a multi-component injection mold (77) with at least one feed channel (79) for the plastic melt, a molding space (80) for the carrier (6) and molding channels (71), extending from the molding space (80), into which the melt is injected thereby forming the bristles (9), characterized in that part of the injection mold comprises a further feed channel opening into the molding space to accept a plastic melt for molding a carrier (6) having through holes (7) acting like spinning nozzles (spinnerets), the through holes (7) having a minimal width of ≦3 mm along at least a portion of their depth, wherein the through holes (7) form a connection between the molding channels (71) and the feed channel (78) for injecting through the plastic melt into the molding channels (71), and the ratio between the smallest width of the through holes (7) and a length resulting from the depth of the through holes (7) and the length of the molding channels (71) is ≦1:5.
Brush ware comprising a carrier and bristles injection molded from a thermoplastic material disposed thereon, characterized in that the carrier (6) has at least one through hole (8) having a minimal width of ≦3 mm along at least a portion of its depth, each through hole accepting one injected-through bristle having a maximum extension transverse to its axis of ≦3 mm and the ratio between this transverse extension and a bristle length is ≦1:5, preferably ≦1:10 to 1:250.
