Abstract
A hydraulic reel adapted for attachment to a skid steer (hydraulic reel) includes a base frame, a reel frame, a reel, and a hydraulic motor. One end of the base frame is mounted to a quick mount member of the skid steer and the reel frame is pivotally attached to other end thereof. The reel includes an axle which is rotably retained by the reel frame. A hydraulic motor drives the reel. A rotary union is attached to an open end of the axle and a hose is secured to the other end of the axle. The hose is routed through an opening in the reel. Pressurized hydraulic fluid is taken from the skid steer hydraulic system to operate the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic reel may be moved wherever desired with the skid steer.
Claims19
A hydraulic reel adapted for attachment to a skid steer comprising:
- a base frame capable of being attached to the skid steer;
- a reel base being pivotal attached to said base frame;
- a reel capable of retaining a length of hose, said reel being pivotally attached to said reel base;
- and
- a hydraulic motor for rotating said reel.
A hydraulic reel adapted for attachment to a skid steer comprising:
- a base frame having a base mounting frame with a base pivot frame extending therefrom, said base mounting frame capable of being attached to the skid steer;
- a reel base including a reel base support with an upright member extending from each end thereof, said reel base support being pivotal attached to said base pivot frame;
- a reel including an axle extending from each end thereof, said reel capable of retaining a length of hose, said axle being pivotally retained by each said upright member;
- and
- a hydraulic motor for rotating said reel.
A method of cleaning a pipeline with the access to the pipeline being located in a confined space, comprising the steps of:
- providing a skid steer;
- and
- providing a hydraulic reel including a self-propelled hose reel and a length of tubing, said self-propelled hose reel being supplied with hydraulic oil from said skid steer, liquid being capable of flowing through said length of tubing.
