Abstract
An information handling system that includes a processor, a memory coupled to the processor, and a device coupled to the processor is provided. The device includes a module for causing the device to detect a first number of input/output (I/O) transactions received by the device and select a first mode of operation of the device in response to the first number of I/O transactions.

An information handling system comprising:
- a processor;
- a memory coupled to the processor;
- and
- a device coupled to the processor and including a module for causing the device to:
- detect a first number of input/output (I/O) transactions received by the device;
- and
- select a first mode of operation of the device in response to the first number of I/O transactions.
