Abstract
The invention relates to a catheter (10) for neural blockades in anaesthesia. Said catheter consists of a flexible plastic tube in which a wire (16) is arranged for electrostimulation. The distal end of said wire (16) is conductively applied to a contact tip protruding out of the catheter (10). Said contact tip consists of a stopper (12) and a cap (14) which are positioned in the catheter (10), the cap being arranged in front of the distal end of said catheter (10) and covering the edge of the front surface thereof.
Claims9
Catheter for a nerve block in anesthesia consisting of a flexible plastic tube with a wire (16) in catheter (10) for electrical stimulation, whose proximal end is electrically contactable at the proximal end of catheter (10) and which leads to a contact tip protruding distally from catheter (10), characterized in that the contact tip is a metal part that consists of a plug (12) and a cap (14), that plug (12) is insertable coaxially into the distal end of catheter (10), that cap (14) is disposed in front of the distal end of catheter (10) and overlaps its distal edge surface, that the cross section of wire (16) is smaller than the free internal cross section of catheter (10), and that wire (16) is connected in an electrically conducting fashion at its distal end with plug (21).
Catheter according to one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that a through-hole (18) passes axially through plug (12) and cap (14).
Catheter according to one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that the wall of catheter (10) has at least one outlet opening (22) at its distal end area behind plug (12).
