Abstract
A device for closing sausage casings or the like contains plate-shaped constricting components for the purpose of forming a braid and a power-driven device for fastening a closure clip around the braid. It is distinguished according to the invention through the fact that the power source for closing the closure clip is fastened to one of the constricting components and can swivel with it, whereby the punch of the device is guided in this constricting component across its entire advance path.

Device for closing tubular packagings such as sausage casings or the like, with plate-shaped constricting components that are coupled with a common carrier in a mutually swiveling manner for constricting the packaging casing, and with a punch driven by a power source, as well as with a matrix interacting with it for closing a closure clip around the braid of the packaging tube formed by the constriction, wherein, in the constricting components, both a guidance for the punch is provided, and the matrix is also arranged,
- characterized in that the power source (pneumatic cylinder 17) is fastened to one of the constricting components (5, 5d) and can swivel with it, and in that the punch (14) is guided in this constricting component (5, 5d) across its entire advance path.
