Abstract
A method for producing L-amino acid, such as L-phenylalanine and L-tryptophan, is provided using bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia wherein the L-amino acid productivity of said bacterium is enhanced by enhancing an activity of protein encoded by the yddG gene.
Claims11
An L-amino acid producing bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia wherein the L-amino acid production by said bacterium is enhanced by enhancing activity of a protein as defined in the following (A) or (B) in a cell of said bacterium:
- (A) a protein which comprises the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:
- 2 in Sequence listing;
- (B) a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence including deletion, substitution, insertion or addition of one or several amino acids in the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:
- 2 in Sequence listing, and which has an activity of making bacterium having enhanced resistance to L-phenylalanine and/or an amino acid analog.
