This invention comprises a method of inhibiting cancer metastases in a subject by the step of administering to said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition selected from the group consisting of Troponin, TnI subunits, analogs, derivatives, fragments or homologs.

A method of inhibiting cancer metastases in a subject by the step of administering to said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition selected from the group consisting of TnI, TnI subunits, analogs, derivatives, fragments or homologs.
A method of inhibiting cancer metastases by at least about 35% of the anticipated number of metastases in a subject by the step of administering to said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition selected from the group consisting of TnI, TnI subunits, analogs, derivatives, fragments or homologs.
