The covering device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein an electric switch (20, 22) is situated between the first layer (1) and the second layer (2);

• the switch (21, 22) is connected to a film conductor (18, 18′), and the switch (21, 22) is triggerable through the first layer (1) or through the second layer (2).

The covering device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the first layer (1) faces away from an interior compartment of a vehicle;

• the first layer (1) is made of mostly inflexible plastic material;
• the second layer (2) faces the interior compartment of the vehicle, the second layer (2) is made of a soft plastic material, and the first layer has a supporting function for the covering device (30).

The covering device as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the film conductors (3, 4) are attachable between the first layer and the second layer by enclosing them in foam using a plastic material.

A cockpit module in a vehicle, electric lines being situated in the cockpit module, the electric lines being covered with respect to protecting them from a vehicle interior compartment by the cockpit module, wherein the cockpit module (30) is designed as a covering device, as recited in one of the preceding claims.
