The invention concerns a film as a dielectric in capacitors having self-healing properties and a process for producing such a film.

A dielectric capacitor comprising a film of an amorphous aromatic copolycarbonate.
A process for producing a dielectric capacitor comprising dissolving an amorphous aromatic polycarbonate in a solvent to form a solution and casting a film from said solution on a casting drum.
A process for producing a dielectric capacitor comprising dissolving an amorphous aromatic polycarbonate in a solvent to form a solution and applying the solution to a substrate in the rotogravure printing process.
Process according to any one of claims 10 to 13, characterised in that PET film or paper is used as substrate.
