Wedged optical filter stack

A wedge stack comprising:

• a plurality of optical wedges including a top optical wedge and a bottom optical wedge, each optical wedge comprising:
• a reflective surface;
• a rear surface;
• a large side surface;
• a small side surface;
• a top;
• a bottom;
• and
• at least one reflective layer disposed on the reflecting surface, wherein the at least one reflective layer reflects a channel of light having a particular wavelength;
• wherein the plurality of optical wedges are stacked together by connecting the rear surface of one of the plurality of optical wedges with the reflective surface of another of the plurality of optical wedges.

An optical spectroscopy system comprising:

• a source of light providing a light signal;
• a dispersion member configured to receive the light signal from the source of light and disperse the light signal into wavelength components;
• a detection member capable of detecting the light signal;
• an optical reflection device configured to filter out undesired wavelengths and spatially position the selected wavelengths of the light signal onto the detector member.
