Abstract
The invention concerns a method for fluidisation of a pulp flow in the headbox of a paper machine or such. The characteristics of the pulp flow are affected in the headbox's fluidiser (14) in one step only, whereby the height (h1) of the step is at least equal to the average fibre length, and after the fluidiser (14) the biggest permissible step expansion in the flow channel in direction z is smaller than the average fibre length.
Claims12
Method for fluidisation of pulp flow in the headbox of a paper machine or such, characterised in that the characteristics of the pulp flow are affected in the headbox's fluidiser (14) in one step only, whereby the step height (h1) is at least equal to the average fibre length, and after the fluidiser (14) the biggest permissible step expansion in the flow channel in direction z is smaller than the average fibre length.
Method as defined in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that in the method the pulp flow in the turbulence generator is brought to a lip chamber (K) to reach lamellas (16a1, 16a2) located therein, so that the flow from the pipes of the turbulence generator is conducted in such a way from their boundary surfaces that no disturbance is caused to the flow, whereby the pulp flow from the ends of the turbulence generator arrives from the boundary surfaces of the turbulence generator's pipes on to the lamella surfaces without any steps, because the surfaces at the inlet side of the lamellas (16a1, 16a2) are arranged at the same level with the end surfaces of the outlet ends of the turbulence generator's pipes.
Method as defined in the preceding claim, characterised in that in the method such lamellas (16a1, 16a2) are used, which narrow in a wedge-like fashion towards their end and which include a sharp tip.
Method as defined in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that in the fluidiser as the flow arrives from the pipe with a smaller diameter to the pipe with a bigger diameter the pulp flow in the expanding step (14) travels in a radial direction to the expanding point and meets the internal surface of the pipe part (15a) having a circular cross-section.
Method as defined in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that in the method the fluidiser's control equipment (23) is used to control the height (H1) of the fluidiser's (14) step, that is, the expansion.
Method as defined in the preceding claim, characterised in that in the method the control equipment (23) is used for moving the wall of pipe part (15a) of pipe (15) in order to control the fluidisation degree of the fluidiser.
Method as defined in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the method after the turbulence generator in the flow direction uses forward steps (f1, f2 . . . ) in the lamellas and/or in the walls of the lip cone, whereby the height of the forward steps in direction z is smaller than the average fibre length.
Control equipment (23) used in fluidisation of a pulp flow in the headbox of a paper machine or such, characterised in that the headbox (10) includes a fluidiser (14) for fluidisation of the pulp flow and that the fluidiser is fitted into the turbulence generator of the headbox (10), and that in connection with the fluidiser (14) there is control equipment (23), which is used to control the height (h1) of the fluidiser's expansion step, and that the control equipment (23) includes an actuator (24, 26), which can be used for moving the pipe part (15a) of the pipe (15) having a circular cross-section and joining the fluidiser (14) in order to control the height (h1) of the expansion step.
Control equipment as defined in the preceding claim, characterised in that the control equipment (23) includes a nut (26) or such, which can be turned in the pipe's outside thread, and a sleeve part (25) in the internal threads, whereby it can be moved in the direction of the pipe's (13) central axis (X), and that the nut (26) includes a sleeve part (27) and therein a wedge-like stop face (28), which can be connected to the wedge surface (30) of a ring (29) located on the external surface of pipe (15a), whereby by tuning nut (26) the height (hi) of the fluidiser's (14) expansion step can be controlled.
Control equipment as defined in the preceding claim, characterised in that the end of the inlet side of pipe part (15a), which is moved by the control equipment (23), includes slots (U1, U2 . . . ) allowing bending of the pipe part (15a).
