Abstract
A disposable absorbent article sustaining low vapour phase moisture in the space as enclosed between and the wearer in use, such as can be evaluate by measuring relative humidity on a laboratory mannequin, such can be achieved by combining high performance, low rewet absorbent cores with breathable backsheet materials.
Claims11
An absorbent article comprising:
- a) an absorbent core having an ultimate storage capacity of at least 75 ml and providing a Post Acquisition Collagen Rewet Method (PACORM) result of less than 140 mg;
- and
- b) a vapor permeable backsheet layer wherein the article maintains a relative humidity of less than 60% when measured from 5 minutes to 55 minutes after a first gush according to a Relative Humidity Mannequin (RHM) test.
