Abstract
A method is provided for the prevention or inhibition of cardiovascular disease by a method comprising the administration of a cyclooxygenase-2 selective inhibitor and a dose of radiation.

A method for the treatment or prevention of cardiovascular disease in a subject in need of such treatment, the method comprising administering to the subject a cyclooxygenase-2 selective inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof and a dose of radiation.
