Information recording apparatus and information recording method

An information recording method to start recording information on a recording medium according to a recording start instruction and stop recording information on a recording medium according to a recording stop instruction, the method comprising:

• generating management information during a finalization process to manage the information recorded on the recording medium from one recording start instruction to one recording stop instruction as one chapter, to manage at least one chapter as one title, and to manage all the information comprising at least one title on the recording medium as one video title set;
• and
• recording the management information on the recording medium.

An information recording apparatus to start recording information on a recording medium according to a recording start instruction and stop recording information on a recording medium according to a recording stop instruction, the apparatus comprising:

• a signal processing circuit to generate management information to manage the information recorded on the recording medium from one recording start instruction to one recording stop instruction as one chapter, to manage at least one chapter as one file, and to manage all the information comprising at least one title on the recording medium as one video title set;
• and
• a recorder to record the management information on the recording medium during a finalization process.
