Abstract
There is provided according to the invention a metered dose inhaler comprising an interfacial surface having the following properties: i) a contact angle of greater than 70 degrees; and ii) a conductivity of greater than 2.4 mS. There are also provided processes for its preparation and its use in therapy.

A component or accessory for use in a metered dose inhaler comprising an interfacial surface having the following properties:—
- (i)a contact angle of greater than 70 degrees;
- and
- (ii) a conductivity of greater than 2.4 mS.
- wherein the interfacial surface has a linear, non-cross-linked polymeric compound disposed thereon and said polymeric compound comprises a functional grouping which is capable of anchoring the said compound to the said surface.

A metered dose inhaler as claimed in claim 1 or claim 4, or a component or accessory as claimed in claim 2 to 5, wherein the conductivity of the interfacial surface is greater than 4.0 mS.
