Abstract
This invention provides for methods of modulating angiogenesis and/or endothelial cell proliferation. In particular, applications of reducing or inhibiting angiogenesis, tumor growth, endothelial proliferation by the administration of compositions containing Claudin-7 and biological equivalents thereof. The invention also relates to compositions and methods for treatment for disorders associated with angiogeneis (e.g., cancer).

A method of modulating angiogenesis and/or endothelial cell proliferation in a mammal comprising delivery to said mammal a composition comprising at least on fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7, wherein said fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7 modulates angiogensis and/or endothelial cell proliferation.
A method of reducing angiogenesis and/or endothelial cell proliferation in a mammal comprising delivery to said mammal a composition comprising at least on fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7, wherein said fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7 reduces angiogensis and/or endothelial cell proliferation.
A method of reducing tumor growth in a mammal comprising delivery to said mammal a composition comprising at least on fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7, wherein said fragment, biological equivalent or derivative of Claudin-7 reduces tumor growth.
