Abstract
The invention relates to an infinitely variable friction gear with several frictional wheels which are to transmit via the driving power. The frictional wheels are rotationally mounted in combined axial-radial-bearings (2), which comprises split bearings (3) which are inserted into the supports (4) for the friction wheels (1) and which are rotated at an pivoting axis angle (α) in relation to angle Y. The opposite-lying supports of each gear unit are connected to each other by an upper coupling rod (6) and a lower coupling coupling rod (7).
Claims3
Continuously variable friction gear having:
- one housing,
- one input shaft,
- one torque shaft positioned coaxially in relation thereto,
- two input discs with toroidal inner surfaces coaxially disposed relative to the input shaft,
- two output discs with toroidal surfaces coaxially disposed relative to the input shaft,
- each input disc and each output disc forming one pair and both output discs being disposed with mirror symmetry and side by side,
- several friction wheels turnably disposed between the inner surfaces of the pairs of input discs and output discs for transmitting a torque from said input disc to the appertaining output disc,
- one carrier for each friction wheel,
- one pivoting device for the carriers of the friction wheels,
- one pressure arrangement for one of the input discs to energize it in direction to the output discs,
- one output shaft and
- one gear wheel arrangement between output discs and input shaft, characterized in that said friction wheels (1) are turnably supported in combined axial-radial bearings (2) which consist of split bearings (3) which are inserted in said carriers (4) and rotated about a preset pivot angle (α) relative to the Y axis, that said carriers (4) facing each other of each gear unit are interconnected by an upper coupling rod and a lower coupling beam (7) and that said lower coupling beam (7) is axially supported (10) on the housing for the hydraulic pistons (5).
Continuously variable friction gear according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that between said hydraulic piston (5) and said lower end of the appertaining carrier (4) a compensating arrangement (8) is provided.
