- a plurality of adjacently disposed planar bodies, each planar body having opposing slots;
- and
- a first endless member engaged with each slot, each endless member having a multi-ribbed profile.
A method of assembling a belt comprising the steps of:
- disposing a plurality of planar bodies in an endless form;
- engaging an endless tensile member with the planar bodies;
- inserting a spacing member between a predetermined number of planar bodies;
- and
- engaging an endless spacing member adjacent to a tensile member in the planar bodies.
