Abstract
The present invention provides an ozone detecting material comprising a polymer prepared by polymerization of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of aniline, aniline having a halogen substituent at the 2-position, aniline having a halogen substituent at the 3-position, aniline having a halogen substituent at the 4-position, aniline having a C1-3 alkyl substituent at the N-position, toluidine and diphenylamine; and a method for detecting ozone comprising the steps of contacting this ozone detecting material with an ozone-containing gas and determining the light absorption rate and/or electrical conductivity of the ozone detecting material at that time.
