Abstract
The present invention relates to a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising an anode (3), a cathode (2) and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The anode forming this battery includes composite particles having a carbon material included in a metallic material. As the metallic material, metal capable of electrochemically reacting with lithium in a nonaqueous electrolyte is included.
Claims15
A negative material including composite particles having a metallic material containing a carbon material, wherein metal capable of electrochemically reacting with lithium in a nonaqueous electrolyte is included as the metallic material.
A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising an anode, a cathode and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the anode comprises a negative material including composite particles having a metallic material containing a carbon material and metal capable of electrochemically reacting with lithium in a nonaqueous electrolyte is included as the metallic material.
A method for manufacturing a negative active material which includes composite particles having a metallic material containing a carbon material and in which metal capable of electrochemically reacting with lithium in a nonaqueous electrolyte is included as the metallic material, said method comprising the step of:
- mixing the metallic material with the carbon material and pelletizing the mixture, wherein at least a part of the step is carried out in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
