Abstract
The present invention concerns antipruritic cosmetic and dermatological preparations that contain one or more O/W emulsifiers, optionally one or more co-emulsifiers, polidocanol and essential oil. Use of the preparation that is the subject of the present invention has been shown to have an immediate and long-lasting antipruritic effect.

A cosmetic or dermatological preparation comprising:
- water,
- one or more O/W emulsifiers,
- optionally one or more co-emulsifiers,
- one or more oil phases,
- polidocanol and
- an essential oil.
