The invention9) relates to a screw vacuum pump (1) comprising shafts (7,8) and two rotors (3, 4)10) secured to the shafts, whereby each rotor has a central hollow chamber (31) provided with devices for circulating a coolant. In order to effectively cool the rotors (3, 4), built-in components rotating along with the rotor arc located in the chamber (31) of the rotors (3,4), said components forming a relatively narrow, annular slot segment (32) that is cross-flown by the coolant. The corresponding annular slot segment (32) extends between the built-in components and the corresponding inner wall of the rotor's hollow chamber (31) and between the suction side and the delivery side of the rotor (3,4). Supply of the annular slot segment (32) with coolant is carried out via separate feed lines and discharge lines traversing the shaft. Means are provided to ensure cavitation-free and bubble-free flow through the annular slot segment. 9) Translator's note: The German text states “Erfindungs” here whereas “Erfindung” would be correct. Therefore the latter has been assumed for the translation. 10) Translator's note: The German text states “34” whereas “3, 4” would be more in line with the remaining text and the drawing figures. Therefore the latter has been assumed for the translation.
Screw vacuum pump (1) comprising shafts (7, 8) and two rotors (3, 4)5) secured to the shafts, whereby each rotor has a central hollow chamber (31) provided with devices for guiding a coolant, wherein there are located in the hollow chamber (31) of the rotors (3, 4), components rotating along with the rotor, said components forming a relatively narrow, annular slot segment (32) through which the coolant flows and where the corresponding annular slot segment (32) extends between the built-in components and the corresponding inner wall of the rotor's hollow chamber (31) and between the suction side and the delivery side of the rotors (3, 4) and where the supply of the annular slot segment (32) with coolant is performed via separate feed and discharge lines traversing the shaft and where means are provided to ensure a cavitation-free and bubble-free flow through the annular slot segment.
Pump according to one of the above claims, wherein the rotors (3, 4) are cantilevered and where in each instance the feed line (41, 81) for the coolant is a pocket hole open towards the delivery side of the shafts (7, 8).
Pump according to one of the above claims, wherein the lines serving the purpose of evacuating the coolant open out into a gear chamber (16).
Pump according to one of the above claims, wherein the axially oriented feed and evacuation lines are linked to the slot (32) chiefly via radially oriented bores.
Pumps according to one of the above claims, wherein the annular slot section (32) is located directly between the shaft (7, 8) and the inner wall of the rotor's hollow chamber (31).
Pump according to one of the above claims, wherein the rotor (3, 4) consists of two sections (4′, 4″) and where for each section there is provided a cooling slot (32′, 32″).
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
