Abstract
In a region more on the back surface side than on the front surface of the circumferential side surface of a magnetic plate, a circumferential projection having an outer diameter larger than that on the front surface side is formed, and the magnetic plate is fitted to a circular reel portion so as to be embedded in the circular reel portion at the circumferential projection thereof.
Claims14
A tape cartridge, comprising:
- a resin circular reel portion stored in a case, said circular reel portion having a side end central part in an axial direction facing the outside of the case and being engageable/disengageable to/from an external driving member;
- and
- a magnetic plate made of a disk shaped member having magnetic properties, the magnetic plate being fitted to the side end central part of said circular reel portion so that its front surface in a thickness-wise direction is exposed, said magnetic plate attracting said external driving member by magnetic force to allow said external driving member and said circular reel portion to be engaged with each other,
- said magnetic plate having a circumferential projection which is formed in a region more on the back surface side than on the front surface of the circumferential side surface and whose outer diameter is larger than that at said front surface side, so that the magnetic plate is fitted with said circular reel portion so as to be embedded in the circular reel portion at the circumferential projection thereof.
1 more element
A method for manufacturing a magnetic plate for a tape cartridge, comprising:
- a first step of compressing an outer circumferential portion of a disk shaped member having magnetic properties in a thickness-wise direction, thereby forming a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion coaxial to each other;
- and
- a second step of shearing an outer circumference of said large diameter portion into a circular shape coaxial to said small diameter portion, thereby allowing an outer diameter of the large diameter portion to have a final target size.
