Abstract
A method and a system for separating a mixture that comprises an oil-water emulsion together with gas. The system comprises a separator tank (11) for separating oil from water in the emulsion, and means for separating gas from the emulsion. The means (7) for separating the gas from the emulsion is arranged separately upstream of the separator tank (11).
Claims23
A method for separating phases of a mixture comprising an oil-water emulsion together with gas, said emulsion is conducted to a separator tank (11) for separating the oil from the water, wherein at least a substantial part of the gas is separated from the emulsion before the emulsion is introduced into the separator tank (11), characterised in that the oil-water emulsion, from which gas has been separated, is introduced into the separator tank (11) via a liquid-liquid cyclone (16) for further separating the phases of the emulsion, said liquid-liquid cyclone (16) being located inside the separator tank (11).
A system for separating phases of a mixture that comprises an oil-water emulsion together with gas, comprising a separator tank (11) for separating the oil from the water in the emulsion, and means (7) for separating the gas from the oil-water emulsion arranged separately upstream of the separator tank (11), characterised in that it comprises a liquid-liquid cyclone (16) for the pretreatment of the emulsion before the emulsion is subjected to separation by means of gravitational settling in the separator tank (11), said liquid-liquid cyclone (16) being located inside the separator tank (11).
