Abstract
A system and method for providing salary data to a self designated survey group comprises the step of establishing a salary survey service on a server for storing and accessing salary data. Once established, the salary survey service accepts membership from a plurality of members through the salary survey service. At least a portion of the members then store salary data on a database that is associated with the server. The members are grouped into a survey group designated by a portion of the plurality of members. Salary surveys are generated for the survey group using the stored salary data provided by members of the survey group. The generated surveys may then be accessed via the Internet.

A method for providing salary data to a self designated survey group, comprising the steps of:
- establishing a salary survey service on a server for storing and accessing salary data;
- accepting memberships from a plurality of members to the salary survey service;
- storing the salary data from at least a portion of the members in a database associated with the server;
- grouping a portion of the plurality members into survey group designated by the portion of the plurality of members;
- generating a salary survey for the survey group using the stored salary data provided by members of the survey group;
- and
- providing access via an Internet to the salary survey.
A method for providing salary data to a survey group, comprising the steps of:
- establishing a salary survey service on a server for storing and accessing salary data;
- accepting contributor memberships and subscriber memberships from a plurality of members to the salary survey service;
- storing the salary data from the contributor members in a database associated with the server;
- receiving designations indicating the members to be included in the survey group;
- grouping a portion of the plurality members into the survey group designated by a portion of the plurality of contributor members;
- receiving parameters defining information to be presented by the salary survey;
- generating a salary survey for the survey group using the stored salary data provided by members of the survey group;
- and
- providing access via an Internet to the salary survey.
A system for providing survey data for members of a survey group via an Internet, comprising:
- a database for storing salary data;
- and
- a server providing access to the Internet, said server configured to:
- accept memberships from members to a salary survey service;
- store the salary data received from at least a portion of the members in the database;
- group a portion of the plurality members into survey group designated by the portion of the plurality of members;
- generate a salary survey for members of the survey group using the stored salary data provided by the members of the survey group;
- and
- provide access to the salary survey via the Internet.
