Abstract
Compositions containing peptide(s) and electrolyte excretion promoter(s) characterized by comprising a peptide or a peptide mixture, which is obtained by digesting cow's milk-origin protein with a protease and has an activity of inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme, and one or more electrolyte excretion promoters selected from among chitosan, alginic acid and salts thereof. Owing to the synergistic effects of the components, these compositions exert an excellent effect of inhibiting increase in blood pressure.

A composition comprising a peptide or a peptide mixture which is obtained by lysing a food-origin protein with a protease and has an activity of inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme, and one or more electrolyte excretion promoters selected from chitosan, alginic acid or a salt thereof.
