Abstract
A window operator with means for electric operation of windows and comprising a magazine (8, 9) for an opening member (80), a drive member (10) for the opening member (80), an electric motor (5) and a worm gear (15, 40 ) coupled with the shaft (41) of the motor. A preferably static self-locking reduction gear is inserted between the worm gear (40, 15) and the drive member (10). The worm (40) and the worm wheel (15) of the worm gear are furthermore supported so that their respective axes of rotation (41, 63) are mutually movable.
Claims22
A window operator with means for electric operation of windows and comprising a magazine (8, 9) for an opening member (80), a drive member (10) for the opening member (80), an electric motor (5) and a worm gear (15, 40) coupled with the shaft (41) of the motor, a preferably static self-locking reduction gear being inserted between the worm gear (40, 15) and the drive member (10), characterized in that the worm (40) and the worm wheel (15) of the worm gear are supported so that their respective axes of rotation (41,63) are mutually movable.
A window operator according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the worm (40) together with the motor (5) and its motor shaft (41) is supported pivotably about a pivot axis (43) which is essentially parallel with the axis (63) of the worm wheel (15).
A window operator according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that biassing means (64) are provided for forcing the worm (40) in a direction towards meshing engagement with the worm wheel (15).
A window operator according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that means (50, 66;
- 65) are provided to prevent the worm (40) from pivoting out of engagement with the worm wheel (15).
A window operator according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the preferably static self-locking reduction gear is a planetary gear, the sun wheel (16) of which comprises the worm wheel (15).
A window operator according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opening member (80) is a chain and that the drive member (10) for the opening member (80) comprises an external gearing (11) engaging with the opening member (80).
Use of a pivotably supported worm (40) for noise reduction in a window operator with a worm gear (40, 15).
A method of reducing noise in a worm gear in a window operator comprising a magazine (8, 9) for an opening member (80), a drive member (10) for the opening member (80), an electric motor (5), the worm gear (15, 40) being coupled to the shaft (41) of the motor (5), the worm (40) preferably being mounted on the motor shaft (41), and a preferably static self-locking reduction gear being inserted between the worm gear (15, 40) and the drive member (10), characterized in that the motor (5) with the worm (40) mounted on the motor shaft (41) is supported pivotably about an axis (43) parallel with the axis (16) of the worm wheel (15) in such a manner that, depending on the direction of rotation of the motor, the worm (40) can pivot between a first position in which the worm (40) meshes into a tooth space of the worm wheel (15) and thus absorbs the clearance, and a second position in which the worm (40) only abuts the respective same side of the teeth of the worm wheel (15).
