Abstract
Data is transferred in a normal mode or a compressed mode. In the normal mode, a nominal ratio(Aj) is calculated on the basis of signalled reference amplification factors (βc,ref βd,ref) whereupon amplification factors (βc,j, βd,j) are determined by approximation with respect to said ratio. In the compressed mode, a corrected nominal ratio(AC,j) is calculated on the basis of the nominal ratio (Aj) and amplification factors (βc,C,j, βd,C,j) are determined by approximaion with respect to said nominal ratio.
Claims5
A method for determining the amplification factors of a data channel and of a control channel of a data transmission system,
- in which the data transmission is performed in a normal mode or a compression mode,
- in which a nominal ratio (Aj) is calculated in the normal mode from signaled reference amplification factors (βc,ref, βd,ref), and amplification factors (βc,j, βd,j) are determined therefrom by means of rounding or discretization, and
- a corrected nominal ratio (Ac,j) is calculated from the nominal ratio (Aj) in the compression mode, and amplification factors (βc,C,j, βd,C,j) are determined therefrom by means of rounding or discretization.
A method for determining the ratio of the power of a data channel to the power of a control channel of a data transmission system,
- in which the data transmission is performed in a normal mode or in a compression mode,
- in which rounded or discretized amplification factors are calculated in the normal mode from a nominal ratio, and
- in which rounded or discretized amplification factors are calculated in the compression mode from the nominal ratio without using the rounded or discretized amplification factors calculated in the normal mode.
A method for calculating the power ratio between a data channel and a control channel,
- in which rounded weights, in particular amplification factors, are determined with the aid of an ideal power ratio during a normal transmission, in particular a normal mode of transmission, and
- in which, during a compression mode, the weights, in particular the amplification factors, are determined for the compression mode not with the aid of weights, in particular amplification factors, of the normal mode, but with the aid of the ideal power ratio.
