In an optical-reading document board of the invention, an anti-reflection film formed by a transparent film and an anti-reflection film is bonded on a document-resting surface of a transparent glass plate. The anti-reflection film is structured by a transparent film and an anti-reflection film bonded on one surface of the transparent film. The use of such an anti-reflection film greatly improves reflectivity to provide an averaged reflectivity of approximately 3% in the entirety. As a result, the transmissivity of light is 94% or greater. In connection with this, the conventional has a reflectivity of approximately 8%, and a transmissivity thereof is around 90%. This makes it possible to effectively utilize the light of from the light source, thus greatly improve contrast.
