Projection type display, a display and a drive method thereof

A projection type display, comprising a light source;

• a color separation means separating light emitted from the light source into a plurality of color lights sequentially;
• a plurality of light modulation means modulating the plurality of color lights separated by the color modulation means;
• and a projecting means sequentially projecting each of the color lights modulated by the light modulation means, wherein;
• a first light adjustment means, adjusting a quantity of each of the color lights synchronously with emitting each of the color lights from the color separation means, is installed between the light modulation means and the color separation means;
• and the first light adjustment means is controlled based on information from outside such that a quantity of color light transmitting through the first light adjustment means is adjustable.

A projection type display, comprising a light source;

• a color separation means separating light emitted from the light source into a plurality of color lights sequentially;
• a plurality of light modulation means modulating the plurality of color lights separated by the color modulation means;
• and a projecting means sequentially projecting each of the color lights modulated by the light modulation means, wherein;
• a second light adjustment means, adjusting a quantity of light emitted from the light source synchronously with emitting each of the color lights from the color separation means, is installed between the light source and the color separation means;
• and the second light adjustment means is controlled based on information from outside such that a quantity of light emitted from the light source and transmitting through the second light adjustment means is adjustable.

A projection type display, comprising a plurality of light sources capable of emitting different color lights respectively;

• a plurality of light modulation means modulating each of the color lights corresponding to the plurality of light sources;
• a color integration means integrating the color lights modulated by the plurality of modulation means;
• and a projecting means projecting light integrated by the color integration means, wherein;
• a first light adjustment means adjusting the intensity of the color light is installed between the light source and the color modulation means along an optical path of at least one of the different color lights;
• and the first light adjustment means is controlled based on information from outside such that a quantity of light transmitting through the first light adjustment means is adjustable.

A projection type display, comprising a light source capable of emitting different color lights sequentially;

• a light modulation means modulating each of the color lights;
• and a projecting means projecting each of the color lights modulated by the light modulation means, wherein;
• a first light adjustment means capable of adjusting a quantity of the color light synchronously with emitting each of the color lights from the light source is provided;
• and the first light adjustment means is controlled based on information from outside such that a quantity of light transmitting through the first light adjustment means is adjustable.
