Occupant arresting device

An occupant restraining device comprising:

• a shielding member adapted to be so let off from the peripheral edge of a window of a vehicle as to shield said window;
• and a let-off means for letting off said shielding member housed so as to shield said window,
• wherein said window is arranged in the body of the vehicle, and
• wherein said shielding member is housed between the garnish of the peripheral edge of said window and said body.

An occupant restraining device comprising:

• a shielding member adapted to be so let off from the peripheral edge of a window of a vehicle as to shield the inner side of said window;
• and a let-off means for letting off said shielding member housed, so as to shield said window,
• wherein said shielding member is housed in a vertical edge portion extending generally vertically on the front side or the rear side of said window peripheral edge,
• wherein said let-off means of said shielding member is arranged in the lower edge portion of said window peripheral edge while being connected to said shielding member housed, and is constructed to move the connection portion to said shielding member, at the action time, along the lower edge side of said window peripheral edge, and
• wherein, at the lower edge portion of said window peripheral edge, there are arranged:
• a moving passage allowing the movement of the vicinity of the connection portion between said let-off means and said shielding member;
• and a closing portion openable over said moving passage.
